When the architects at 5G Collaborative were tasked with designing a new office building for the popular Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas, they were asked to deliver a space that was both cutting-edge and modern, but still paid homage to its history-rich surroundings.
It’s said that Deep Ellum has soul. The Stack was created to reflect that mindset – a space for a creative, diverse, and progressive community that welcomes like-minded newcomers.
At ground-level, brick and grit seamlessly blend with the neighborhood, while the workspaces above epitomize innovation and an “edgy style” via solid bold lines and architectural metal designs.
At The Stack, it will be anything but an ordinary day at the office. Architectural fabrication, custom-sculpted amenities, and collaborative spaces were all designed with the community in mind. An impeccable 10th-floor amenity terrace with unobstructed views of downtown, private balconies, a state-of-the-art fitness center, fully-covered parking, and more encompass the 50,000 sq. ft. facility, which is adorned in decorative metal panels.
With the building being both LEED®️ Gold Certified and Wired®️ Platinum Certified, the client, a prominent commercial framing contractor, needed a supplier that could manufacture thousands of exterior wall panels in a relatively short period of time. They turned to the professionals at KSC.
Our team worked on nearly 2,000 custom metal Alucobond 4mm FR ACM panels that enhance the upper portion of the building and please the eye on every level.
Other luxury services we provided to encapsulate the innovative office space included building information modeling (BIM) and fabrication of the 2100 series ventilated rain-screen system.
