Hyatt Regency – In Process
About 40 miles from Houston, the city of Conroe’s steady growth has led to the exploration of unique opportunities that maximize available land and that can cater to a diversifying economy. Adding to the excitement, the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Convention Center was recently added in Grand Central Park. This development will include a full-service, upscale hotel and attached convention center with amenities to serve business and leisure travelers. The property will house 252 guest rooms and a 43,000 SF convention space including a 15,000 SF main ballroom, an 8,000 SF junior ballroom, pre-function areas, a three-level, 370 car stand-alone parking garage, and numerous breakout rooms to accommodate meetings of all sizes.
KSC partnered with DPR Construction and BOKA Powell to curate a development that will not only meet the functional needs of the community but will also meet the appeal and high-quality standards of a Hyatt Regency Hotel. The plans to source and install Alucobond ACM and Longboard wood grain extruded aluminum were made to achieve the structure’s bold and luxe facade. The KSC 3000 series ventilated rainscreen system will be attached to the building with a unique mounting system that reduces thermal conductivity and also improves the energy performance of the structure.
