Farmer Brothers Headquarters
When coffee service company Farmer Brothers moved from California to Texas, KSC was called in late in the game to design, fabricate, and install a metal panel system for their new headquarters and help meet a highly accelerated move-in date in tandem with EMJ Construction and RGA Architects.
One challenge imposed by this very tight deadline was the availability of some of the materials called for in the design renderings. Another was the integration of multiple systems in a relatively small area, which demanded crucial alignment with joinery and the lining up of a variety of parts.
As a time- and money-saving alternative to the unavailable materials, KSC proposed fabricating everything from materials on hand, integrating sheet metal panels, two Trespa systems, and Aluminum Composite Material to create a seamless transition between glass and panels. KSC ultimately fabricated and installed every part of the façade except for the tilt wall and glass.
