Epic II
In early Spring 2022, Deep Ellum’s first-of-its-kind mixed-used project, The Epic, continued to grow its footprint with the introduction of its second tower. In total, The Epic consists of two office towers, multifamily space, retail, and the boutique Pittman Hotel. Design inspiration for the project tried to encompass a natural transition from the iconic Dallas skyline to the eclectic neighborhood within which it sits.
In what will be home to the new Uber hub (the largest outside of its headquarters in San Francisco), the 485,000 SF Class AA office tower boasts a contemporary aesthetic with unmatched views, abundant amenities, and an unbeatable location.
KSC worked with project partners Perkins & Will and Balfour Beatty on fabricating and installing 25,000 SF of ACM found on both the interior and exterior of the building. Outside, the metal lining of the building was designed to match the its predecessor across the street. However, inside The Epic II, a custom ceiling system was designed for the lobby which included 6,800 SF of intricate, perforated metal panels.
