Choctaw Casino and Resort
When Choctaw Casino and Resort decided to undergo its most recent expansion, they weren’t talking about a small addition. With a new 1,000-key hotel, retail space, conference facilities, restaurants, movie theatre, multiple entertainment venues, and a new parking garage in the works – JCJ Architecture, Tutor Perini Building Corp., and every contractor had to step up their game to meet the 30-month design and construction timeline.
“As gaming patrons across the globe have continued to become increasingly sophisticated in their expectations, it was important to respond to these expectations,” said Bob Gdowski, AIA, Principal, and Director of Hospitality Design with JCJ Architecture.
With a goal to create and elevate a seamless guest experience, the Choctaw Casino and Resort invested $600 million dollars into its latest expansion efforts. The project was built around the idea of endless intrigue and convenience for its guests. It was the architect’s hope that visitors of the luxury entertainment destination would find a design that is architecturally refined, contextually responsive, and experientially engaging.
KSC prepared shop drawings that would serve as the roadmap for measuring, fabricating, and installing the Alpolic ACM panels needed to construct the giant, intricately-designed porte-cochère with a faceted soffit that welcomes you to the new venue. This stunning entrance provides a dramatic effect and sets the tone for what guests are about to experience at the property.
