48 East – Natiivo
As a new hospitality concept launching in Austin, Natiivo was looking to make a splash with the first-of-its kind residential/hotel condo building. The city of Austin was picked for this new venture due to its “standard for progress and being the only place where such a revolutionary building can reach new heights”. With expectations like that, the building design had to match.
Working closely with project partners STG Design and AECOM Hunt, KSC helped bring to life the “design philosophy that explored the interplay between Austin’s urban environment and its natural surroundings”. The result? A striking exterior which features a rippling metal art wall that disguises the building’s parking garage behind it.
KSC assisted in the design process and utilized 3D Scanning and BIM technology to fabricate the custom ACM and post painted aluminum plate screens off-site to allow for a quick installation process.
